Re: mdo plywood for transom i wouldn't use mdo or mdf, it absorbs water and swells at a ridiculous rate. a lot of us are using plain old acx plywood it is alot. Find great deals on ebay for boat transom plywood. shop with confidence.. I'm repairing the transom on my mirage. i was wondering about plywood. how important is it to use marine grade vs treated. the price of marine grade aint cheap $118.
